Stall had to endure a 14-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the North Charleston Cougars on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Lance Janicki and Tyler Jones made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Janicki pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Jones pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Janicki got on base in two of his three plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs, while Jones got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those runs were Jones' first of the season.
In other batting news, Carter Ashley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Gil, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Stall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Stall's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for North Charleston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Coming up, Stall will face off against James Island at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. North Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
