The Fayette Falcons waltzed into their game Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Scotland County 62-28 at home. Considering Fayette has won three matchups by more than 21 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Oakleigh Hill, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Hill is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kay Sullivan was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 12 rebounds and four blocks.
Fayette's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Scotland County, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Fayette will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Schuyler County at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
