Leroy was led to victory by Ray Phillips and Taylor Crumedy. Phillips scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Crumedy dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Phillips has scored at least 25% of Leroy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Howell, who scored 15 points.
Millry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Leroy, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Millry will be home for the holidays to greet Excel at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leroy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Washington County at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Washington County's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Leroy's offense will have their work cut out for Leroy.
