Union moved up to 386 from 417 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ottawa-Kent - Black. The Red Hawks climbed the ranks as a result of a 62-20 win over the Red Hawks.
Mona Shores was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Mona Shores 34-14. The Sailors came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Mona Shores' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sailors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyree Jackson has thrown for 982 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Asantay Brown has 22 catches for 490 yards. Darnell Longmire leads the league in rushing with 536 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mona Shores takes on Kenowa Hills. The Sailors are in third place, while the Knights are in fourth place.
Zeeland East extended the longest winning streak in Ottawa-Kent - Black this week by beating Union, 62-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
