Oneida can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the York Institute Dragons. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Oneida saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Hailey, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Lauren Stephens, who scored two runs.

Oneida's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for York Institute, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oneida will face off against McCreary Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for York Institute, they will square off against Scott at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.86 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
