The Abby Kelley Foster Bears''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 24-6 fall against St. Paul.
Among those leading the charge was John Walsh Karam, who rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns. St. Paul also got help from Ryan Richmond who showed off his sure hands for 117 receiving yards.
Abby Kelley Foster's loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.1 points per game. As for St. Paul, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.
Abby Kelley Foster will take on Ayer Shirley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ayer Shirley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for St. Paul, they will head out on the road to face off against Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Bartlett is ranked 280th, while St. Paul is ranked 267th).
