Basketball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Skates Past Granville Christian Academy with Ease

Genoa Christian Academy won the last time they faced Granville Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. Genoa Christian Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Granville Christian Academy 60-23. Genoa Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Leah Kinley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 16 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabbie Kirwin, who made all 5 shots she took to post 10 points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Genoa Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granville Christian Academy only posted six assists.

Despite the loss, Granville Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hannah Hamilton posted four points and five boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Genoa Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Granville Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Genoa Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-24 win against Hillsboro Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Granville Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-33 victory against Patriot Prep Academy on the 21st.
