SHAWNEE, Okla. - A big 27-point third quarter helped carry the Chargers to a 48-0 victory over Bethel (Shawnee, Okla.) on Saturday.
Heritage Hall scored on a defensive touchdown, a
Chedon Shockley touchdown run, a touchdown run by
Kellen Stadler and a touchdown pass by
Conner McGinnis to
Domonique James in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a
AJ Knowles touchdown run in the first quarter, HH led 14-0 at the half.
The Oklahoma City school expanded its lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. The Chargers scored four times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
With the win Heritage Hall extended its winning streak to five games. HH defeated the Bison 56-12 last week.
The Chargers' most effective player was Shockley. The senior wide receiver ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.
Heritage Hall came into the game allowing 14.3 points per game.
HH (6-3) will play a 3A District 3 game against Star-Spencer next week. The Bobcats go into the week with a record of 4-4.
