The Fisher Bunnies lost against the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Fisher falling 46-29. They have struggled against Cerro Gordo/Bement recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Fisher's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Hott, who scored ten points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Jenna Clemmons was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Fisher has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Fisher is on the road again on Thursday and play against Westville at 5:30 p.m. on January 4th. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they will take on Warrensburg-Latham at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
