Madison County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 18 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-17. They lost 17-0 to the Strasburg Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in April.
As for Strasburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Considering they have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
For Strasburg's part, Olivia Moxley and Brynna Wiseley made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Moxley tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Wiseley pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Moxley posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. At bat, Moxley went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Wiseley went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That RBI marked the first that Moxley has brought in this season.
In other batting news, Strasburg let Hannah Merriner and Caitlyn Freeman run wild. Merriner went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Freeman went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave Freeman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chelsea Stine, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison County will head out to face off against Page County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Strasburg, they will challenge Clarke County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
