Hilton extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 3-0 in the process. They never let the Spencerport Rangers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Cadets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Spencerport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since May 3, 2024.

For Spencerport's part, Matt Green was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Green has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Spencerport saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Lamberton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Coming up, Hilton will square off against Gates Chili at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spencerport, they will take on Penfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Patriots have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
