Wynot is 8-2 against Homer since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Wynot Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Homer Knights. Hopefully Wynot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Wynot has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Osmond/Randolph as Wynot made off with a 68-46 victory.
Wynot can attribute much of their success to Zack Foxhoven, who scored 12 points along with 6 assists and 5 steals, and Dylan Heine, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists. Kotner Koch was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Homer's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 61-27. Homer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-7.
The losses dropped Wynot to 3-1 and Osmond/Randolph to 0-3.
Wynot took their victory against Homer in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 51-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wynot since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
