Melrose won the last time they faced King Prep, and things went their way on Friday, too. Melrose were fully in charge, breezing past King Prep 46-8. Melrose was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The win bumped Melrose's record up to 1-2. The loss dropped King Prep's record to 1-2.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Melrose are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Memphis East next week at 7:00 PM. As for King Prep, they will face off against Westview.
