Cottondale is 0-1 against Pataula Charter Academy since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cottondale Hornets will look to defend their home field against the Pataula Charter Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cottondale has three straight victories, Pataula Charter Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Cottondale on the road against Baconton Charter as the team secured a 48-8 victory. The result was nothing new for Cottondale, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Cottondale can attribute much of their success to Jocarian Garrett, who rushed for 207 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and Cameron Odom, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Garrett is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. Tramond Collins was another key contributor, picking up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Pataula Charter Academy came up short against Georgia Christian back in September and fell 29-19.
Cottondale's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Pataula Charter Academy's defeat dropped them down to 2-3.
