On Friday, Magnolia ended the year with a bang, routing Sweeny 65-42.
Despite the loss, Sweeny still got an impressive performance from Cameron Alexander, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Alexander continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Warrick Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Magnolia is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Sweeny, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Magnolia and Bridgeland will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bridgeland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Sweeny's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mineral Wells at 9:00 a.m. on December 30, 2023. Mineral Wells has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
