The Clallam Bay Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crescent. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clallam Bay has scored all season.
Crescent's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lukas Love, who scored nine points along with 22 rebounds and three blocks. Love is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mikah Love, who scored 13 points.
Clallam Bay's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Crescent, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clallam Bay won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northwest Christian at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. Northwest Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Crescent, they will be playing at home against Neah Bay at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Neah Bay knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Crescent likes a good challenge.
