The Chanhassen Storm scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 79-72 win over Academy of Holy Angels. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Maddie Ziembiec continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Arnold, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Chanhassen now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Academy of Holy Angels, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Chanhassen will head out on the road to face off against Wayzata at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wayzata's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. Academy of Holy Angels will be home for the holidays to greet Visitation at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Visitation comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
