It was a good run, but The Tell City Marksmen unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Evansville Mater Dei by a score of 30-27. Tell City has struggled against Evansville Mater Dei recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Tell City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landon Terry. Despite the final result, he rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Terry is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Noah Terry also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Tell City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Tell City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Evansville Mater Dei will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Posey at 7:00 p.m.
