The Buccaneers walked away with a 64-55 win over the Wildwood Wildcats with plenty of help from Powers, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards. Wildwood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tico Smith, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Miller, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Mainland's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Wildwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
