In what's become a running theme this season, Sangre de Cristo gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They breezed by La Veta at home to the tune of 57-19. With Sangre de Cristo ahead 32-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Sangre de Cristo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Presley Wilson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Audrina Knorr was another key contributor, almost dropping a triple-double on 12 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals.
Meanwhile, Custer County took a serious blow against the Tigers last Saturday, falling 35-8. Custer County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sangre de Cristo has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Custer County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Sangre de Cristo strolled past the Bobcats when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 42-26. Will Sangre de Cristo repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
