Garfield Community Learning Center waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Firestone Falcons 71-52. Given the Golden Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Falcons are ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Garfield Community Learning Center's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Firestone, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garfield Community Learning Center will take on St. Ignatius in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garfield Community Learning Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully St. Ignatius likes a good challenge. Firestone and Copley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
