Lyndon hadn't done well against Mission Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for the Lyndon Tigers in a 40-26 win over the Mission Valley Vikings. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won three contests in a row.

Mission Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Packard, who posted four points and six rebounds. Packard has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Brammell, who had seven points.

Lyndon pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.7 points per game. As for Mission Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Lyndon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Council Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Mission Valley also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Chase County on January 7, 2025.
