Lamar Consolidated got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shafeeq Mujahideen out in front who scored 18 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Mujahideen has scored at least 25% of Lamar Consolidated's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Dixon, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Clinton Varner and Warrick Hernandez certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Varner scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while Hernandez scored 8 points along with 4 steals. The match was Varner's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Lamar Consolidated pushed their record up to 2-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sweeny, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
