The Windermere Wolverines have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Lake Brantley by a score of 45-33 on Wednesday.
Leading Windermere to victory were Ryen Wood and Bailey Travis. Wood scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Travis scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Travis continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Ikeda, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Windermere's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-10. As for Lake Brantley, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Windermere will stay at home for another game and welcome South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Lake Brantley, they will head out on the road to challenge Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Freedom has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
