The Atholton Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They secured a 75-70 W over River Hill. The win was nothing new for Atholton as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Deion Dent continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Juan Macatangay, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was OJ Ndu, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Ndu hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Aiden Igwebe was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds.
Atholton pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for River Hill, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Howard the next time they take the court. River Hill will head out to face Howard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Atholton will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
