On Friday, The Corning Bobcats faced the Subiaco Academy Trojans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Corning walked away with a 38-30 victory over Subiaco Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Corning.
Subiaco Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Koch, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 15 yards and a touchdown. Koch hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. Caleb Cowell also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Corning has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Subiaco Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Corning does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Subiaco Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
