Academy at Palumbo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Science Leadership Academy at Beeber apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.
Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jahad Marable, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Sa'd Jamdaddin, who scored 17 points.
Academy at Palumbo bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy at Palumbo will challenge Germantown Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, they will head out on the road to face off against Boys' Latin Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
