South Albany is 2-8 against Central since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday.  Maddie Angel was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, seven  RBI,  and two  stolen bases while going 4-for-5. Those  seven  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Alicia Martindale, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 South Albany  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They are 3-1 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
 Central hadn't beaten Lebanon on the road since April 23, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them  on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by  a  19-1 margin over the Warriors. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight  runs or more this season.
 Central has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Albany,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-7.
