The Intrinsic Mustangs lost to the Disney II Titans back in January of 2023, but the Intrinsic Mustangs didn't allow the Disney II Titans the same satisfaction on Friday. Everything went Intrinsic's way against Disney II as Intrinsic made off with a 42-22 victory.
Intrinsic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but America Escalera led the charge by scoring 16 points. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 16 points.
Intrinsic's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Disney II, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
Intrinsic won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus at 11:30 a.m. on January 27th. Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus' defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Intrinsic's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Disney II, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Manley at 5:00 p.m. Manley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
