Arapahoe is 1-9 against Cambridge since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Arapahoe Warriors will square off against the Cambridge Trojans at 5:00 p.m.
Arapahoe suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-33 loss at the hands of Southern Valley. Arapahoe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-14.
Despite the defeat, Arapahoe saw an underclassman step up: Chloe Gooden scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gooden has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Ewoldt, who scored three points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cambridge beat Dundy County-Stratton 39-35 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cambridge.
Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Arapahoe came up short against Cambridge when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 61-50. Can Arapahoe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
