The Notre Dame Cristo Rey Panthers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Innovation Academy The Red Tailed Hawk at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Notre Dame Cristo Rey's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
On Monday, Notre Dame Cristo Rey made easy work of Pioneer Charter School of Science II and carried off a 72-46 win. The Panthers have beaten the Pirates the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pirates has come to flipping the script.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Notre Dame Cristo Rey to victory, but perhaps none more so than S Garcia, who posted 18 points. Garcia's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was I Feliciano, who earned 14 points.
Innovation Academy hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-63 W against Northeast Metro RVT.
Notre Dame Cristo Rey better keep an eye on Bryce Kankam. He was instrumental in Innovation Academy's win, dropping a double-double with 34 points and 16 rebounds. Kankam has become a key player for Innovation Academy: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 25 points, but 0-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Barnes, who went 7 for 14 en route to 17 points and three steals.
Notre Dame Cristo Rey pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points over those games. As for Innovation Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-14.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Notre Dame Cristo Rey and Innovation Academy are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Notre Dame Cristo Rey hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 67.1 points per game. However, it's not like Innovation Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 55.6 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Everything came up roses for Notre Dame Cristo Rey against Innovation Academy when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 79-51 victory. Does Notre Dame Cristo Rey have another victory up their sleeve, or will Innovation Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
