The Southeast Lancers lost against the Liberal Bulldogs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Southeast was the victim of a rough 59-37 defeat at the hands of Liberal. Southeast has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Lancers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinzey Cassidy, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Cassidy is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Teagan Warner, who scored 5 points.
Southeast now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Liberal, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will challenge College Heights Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Liberal will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Diamond at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
