Meanwhile, the Heroes made easy work of the Phantoms on Wednesday and carried off a 24-2 victory. The Heroes are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 14th matchup they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Tatum Meeker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the Heroes got a massive performance out of Elsie Earll, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Earll also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Sarahi Rico was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

The Heroes' win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.6 runs over those games. As for the Heroes, their record is now 15-1.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Heritage Academy have hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .687. However, it's not like Heritage Academy struggle in that department as they've averaged .636. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
