The Juniata Christian Eagles had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 44-27 win over Bridgeport Baptist Academy on Tuesday. Juniata Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Juniata Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Wright out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Smith, who scored 12 points.
Juniata Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Bridgeport Baptist Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Community Baptist Christian the next time they take the court. Juniata Christian will host Community Baptist Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while Bridgeport Baptist Academy will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
