If the Magnolia Bulldogs were riding high off their 73-41 takedown of the Willis Wildkats last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between Magnolia and College Park wasn't particularly close, with Magnolia falling 50-34. Magnolia lost against College Park in their previous head to head back in November of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-28 score last time.
College Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khinidy Francis led the charge by scoring 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Ibizugbe, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Magnolia's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for College Park, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magnolia will square off against Spring at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Spring's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Magnolia has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. College Park is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Grand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th.
