The Bradwell Institute Tigers were the 20-9 winner over the Greenbrier Wolfpack when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Bradwell Institute fell just short of Greenbrier by a score of 32-29. Despite 68 more yards than Greenbrier, Bradwell Institute couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
When it comes to explaining why Bradwell Institute lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Christopher Garrett. Despite the final result, he threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahzhia Thomas, who picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Greenbrier found their leader in underclassman Cole Trupp, who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Trupp was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
Bradwell Institute has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Greenbrier, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
Bradwell Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Greenbrier also has no future games currently scheduled.
