Last Friday, Asheboro suffered a rough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Montgomery Central. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Asheboro in their matchups with Montgomery Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Kimry Comer put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-23, which was the final score in Ledford's tilt against North Davidson on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Ledford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while North Davidson is ranked 166th).
Asheboro has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Ledford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
