The University Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sage Hill Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in University's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
University pushed their score all the way to 73 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 92-73 fall against Portola. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Tuesday (56), University still had to take the loss.
University's defeat came about despite a quality game from Andrew Bogard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shervin Moarrefian, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Sage Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 48-44 W over Woodbridge. The victory was all the more spectacular given Sage Hill's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while Woodbridge is ranked 126th).
