Narbonne extended the longest winning streak in Marine this week by beating George Washington Prep, 63-3. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Narbonne took down the Generals 63-3 last week, the largest margin of any game. Troy Williams threw for 232 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 46 yards in the win.
Manuel Douglas' team's Williams and A.J. Richardson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 1532 yards this season, while Richardson, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 31 catches for 486 yards. Tyree Simmons from Gardena leads the league in rushing with 1087 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Narbonne takes on second place Gardena. Last week, the Gauchos bested George Washington Prep, while the Panthers lost to Carson.
There should be lots of points scored when Narbonne and Gardena face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Gauchos comes in having scored 369 this season, while the Panthers have scored 249. Narbonne scored 63 points last week as it topped H.E. Causey's team.
