The Priory Panthers were the 69-35 winner over the Sequoia Ravens when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. 2024 welcomed Priory with a 62-42 loss courtesy of Sequoia on Saturday. Priory has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Priory's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hudson Karnes, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Teddy Xanthopoulos , who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Priory has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Sequoia, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Priory will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sequoia, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Capuchino at 6:00 p.m.
