The Miltonvale Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pike Valley, falling 46-8. Miltonvale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-3.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pike Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Breanna Reeves, who scored 19 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Reeves has scored at least a third of Pike Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Raelyn Bolte, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Miltonvale's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Pike Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miltonvale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Osborne on Tuesday. As for Pike Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Thunder Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kamryn Rietzke and Reeves.
