Whetstone lost against Worthington Kilbourne in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-47 score last time.
Worthington Kilbourne's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Te'mar Lewis, who scored 26 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Lewis has scored at least 25% of Worthington Kilbourne's points. Aidan Gallogly was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Whetstone bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Worthington Kilbourne, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Whetstone will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canal Winchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
