Mountain View has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mesa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Toros will look to defend their home field against the Jackrabbits at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mountain View has six straight wins, Mesa has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Mountain View's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Dobson with a sharp 17-0 victory. The Toros might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Allison Robles made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Keelie Goodman and Kylynn Sylvester did most of the damage at the plate: Goodman went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Sylvester went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Sylvester has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Autumn Lavit was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Mountain View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Mesa lost 21-6 to Westwood on Monday.
Mailyn Ortiz Cabezas and Jada Porter stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ortiz Cabezas went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Porter went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Ortiz Cabezas' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Daniela Beltran, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Mesa's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mountain View has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Mesa, though, as they've been averaging 12.5 hits. Given Mountain View's sizable advantage in that area, the Jackrabbits will need to find a way to close that gap.
Mountain View got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Mesa by a conclusive 21-0 score. Do the Toros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jackrabbits turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
