Dothan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Montgomery Catholic Knights 14-2. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Dothan got a great performance from Brantlee McCarthy as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Makenna Descalzi was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Savanna Kendrick, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Dothan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montgomery Catholic only posted an OBP of .333.

Dothan picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 9-10-1. As for Montgomery Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Dothan will be playing at home against Headland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery Catholic, they will venture away from home to take on Tallassee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
