West Scranton hasn't had much luck against North Pocono recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Invaders will venture away from home to challenge the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Scranton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over Scranton on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

West Scranton let Mason Lesh and Tyler Scotch run wild. Lesh got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Scotch went 4-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those four runs gave Lesh a new career-high. Cameron Cole also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
West Scranton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, North Pocono came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Comets. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Jake Reese was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. North Pocono is undefeated when Reese posts two or more runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Josh Kalinowski was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
West Scranton's record now sits at 5-14. As for North Pocono, their record is now 9-10.
West Scranton beat North Pocono 7-2 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Invaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
