Alton is 0-3 against Houston since April of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Comets will welcome the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Houston took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Alton, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Alton made easy work of Couch and carried off an 18-3 victory. Considering the Comets have won six games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Cauthen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
In other batting news, Alton got a massive performance out of Jessica Green, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Green has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emiley Fettig, who earned four runs and three stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Houston entered their matchup against Ava on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell 8-4 to the Bears.
Like Alton, Houston also got a great game from a two-way player: Lilly Kincaid. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Kincaid was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Katy Evans made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Alton's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
