Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only American Christian Academy walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Holt Ironmen a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

American Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Holt, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

As of now, neither American Christian Academy nor the Ironmen have any future games scheduled.
