Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (61), Bridge to Independence still had to take the loss.
Bridge to Independence lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Jeantinord is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jvarius Gibson, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds.
North Kissimmee Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izaiah Noel, who scored 22 points along with two steals and two blocks. Noel is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Pourchons Morisseau, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Bridge to Independence has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for North Kissimmee Christian, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Bridge to Independence will take on Apopka Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Kissimmee Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against International Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. International Community is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
