Reicher Catholic stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 92-50 victory over Holy Trinity Catholic on the road. Given Reicher Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Holy Trinity Catholic is ranked 1599th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Central Texas Christian came into Friday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Austin Waldorf by a score of 51-42 on Friday. The victory was just what Central Texas Christian needed coming off of a 75-27 defeat in their prior matchup.
Reicher Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. As for Central Texas Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18.
Everything came up roses for Reicher Catholic against Central Texas Christian in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 72-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reicher Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
