Knoch extended their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 14-2. They skirted past the Deer Lakes Lancers 11-9. 11 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Marlee Fraser was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Knoch let Emersyn Jones and Alena Tekely run wild. Jones went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Tekely went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Those three runs gave Tekely a new career-high. Lizzie Danik was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Knoch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Lakes only posted a batting average of .200.
As for Deer Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 17, 2025.
On Deer Lakes' side, Siena Plummer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Plummer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knoch will head out to take on Mars at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Deer Lakes, they will venture away from home to square off against Fox Chapel at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
